Jerret Sykes
Campus Director
College Pastor - Trinity Church

After pursuing a career in the business world, Jerret heard and responded to God’s call upon his life as a missionary to the college campus in 2002. Jerret received Christ as a baseball player at the University of Houston just before his junior season. His heart is to make Jesus famous to students, and to see a campus movement launched in which students are actively involved in ministering to fellow students and evangelizing the lost. Jerret has been happily married to his wife Allison for nearly 6 years, and they are the proud parents of two adorable daughters, Hattie and Laine, and their son, Bo. Jerret is energized by seeing people come to the Lord and by spending time with his family. And of course, as he says, “guzzling a Starbucks anything” gives him that extra kick when he needs it. He is also a sports enthusiast, primarily baseball, football and golf.

Phil Carlson
Campus Missionary
College Minister - Trinity Church

After pursuing a career in the busiCampus Minister- Trinity Church
After graduating with his BA from SMU, Phil served with PULSE for a few years as a volunteer while working in retail sales and banking. In late 2007, he answered God’s call to be trained as a campus minister. His life was radically changed in the fall semester of his freshman year at SMU when he heard the Gospel clearly presented in a way that required a response. His passion since then has been to better understand the Gospel, teach it to others and train up Christian leaders on the college campus – especially the campus of his beloved alma mater. Nothing gives him a greater “high” than to know that the students he mentors are living victorious lives of faith while leading their friends to Jesus. Having been raised by a former opera singer, he loves fine art and the performing arts. He also doesn’t mind the attention he gets from doing character imitations or speaking in one of any number of accents at random or upon request. Phil blogs at www.worthlove.org and can be reached at pcarlson@smu.edu

Emily Thompson
Campus Missionary
College Minister - Trinity Church
Emily, a Florida native, is a 2009 graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. A testimony to the power of God to radi-cally impact young people’s lives through campus ministry, Emily commit-ted her life to Christ her Sophomore year of college. And immediately felt the call to serve the Lord in full-time ministry as a campus missionary. Her life was eternally changed on the college campus through this ministry and has been involved with Every Na-tion Campus Ministries for three years. After graduating, Emily moved to Dallas Texas to answer the call to her ap-pointed mission field, Southern Methodist University. She believes the college campus is one of the most strategic mission fields in the world today and that God has called her to reach young people who will eventually transform their generation with the power of Jesus Christ. These stu-dents will be tomorrow’s leaders and shapers of our society. Every Nation Campus Ministries realizes that if we change the lives of students on the campus today, we can eventually change the world. Emily can be reached at eharrison@trinitydallas.com
